Thanks to a huge donation from several businesses, many local families won't be going hungry this holiday season.

Flint Community Schools hosted a food distribution for 1,000 families in the area to help make their season a little brighter.

The following business all took part to make this event happen:

  • Sodexo Magic

  • Cigna Health

  • United Shore

  • Walmart

  • Popeyes

  • BCFI

Each family received all the trimmings to make and enjoy a hot Christmas meal as well as a number of nutritious food items to help sustain them through the winter vacation.

The event took place at North Western High School where people were able to drive up and have their trunks filled with food boxes.
