How to Read a PDF File

Documents displaying this logo Portable Document Format File are in PDF (Portable Document Format), and require a special software program called "Acrobat Reader" to view them.

Netscape 3.0 or newer and Microsoft Explorer 3.0 or newer have 'plug-ins' which will open a pdf' automatically within your browser window. To save to your hard drive, simply select 'save as' from your browser menu.

Once you have the "Adobe Acrobat Reader" application installed on your harddrive, you can then configure your browser to automatically open and display any PDF file (document) you encounter on the internet by simply clicking on the "link" for the PDF file.
