Business Managers Task Force

The Middle Cities Business/Finance Task Force concentrates on any and all issues that have financial implications for school districts. January through June is a critical time as they become intimately involved in the State School Aid budget process, advising MCEA staff and lobbying the state's policymakers on behalf of funding priorities and policy for urban school districts. The Task Force was instrumental in developing the Middle Cities Risk Management Trust and Workers' Compensation Fund. They are currently exploring the feasibility of establishing an energy consortium to establish a direct purchase program for natural gas.
